Q. What inspired you to write the book “When Love Happens…”?
Ans. Something worst and best happened in life which leads me to write the book. I get inspired from lives, things, surroundings. There is no any specific inspiration which inspired me to write the book “When Love Happens”.
Q. Now that it’s published and available on Amazon, how do you feel after being first time Author?
Ans. It’s always fruitful after a lot struggle you become a published author!
Q. How challenging is it to publish your first book?
Ans. Publishing a book is quite more challenging rather than writing a book. I was rejected by every single publisher I chased to publish but I kept following them; after some experiences, improvement in my work I could make it possible.
Q. Love is an important subject for teenagers. What is your advise to give to readers?
Ans. Now in the digital age perception of love has been changed, though to give advice about love to anyone is difficult because each individual has different perception about their feelings, lives and love, but one thing in common about love is it should always be from heart and it should be transformed in any other way at any condition.
Q. One argument is that great authors feel that no one takes interest in our own story. Is it wise to write novels based on true story from market’s point of view?
Ans. Any story is written by inspiring from ones life or things so if in one’s life something has happened which is unique, genuine, interesting, motivating then of course story can be shared with others so that people can avail the experiences from storyteller because our life is too short to experience or know everything!
Q. How has the transformation from a technocrat to novelist been working now?
Ans. It is quite in balance so far although I had started writing this story during my college days itself but somewhat as a novelist it is leaned now. It’s matter of how comfortably you work and where your heart wants you to focus on so definitely I am following more my heart for storytelling.
Q. What works behind your mind when authors write book, to be best seller or to be most popular or both?
Ans. When I started writing this book I was NOT intended about any result or how fruitful it is going to be in future. My mind moreover I can say my heart was totally focused on writing. When you follow your heart it is more focused on your work rather than any future results.
Q. Share some interesting (learning) moments and experiences during the whole process of writing “When Love Happens…”
Ans. Every moment of writing this book was a new learning, it would be too short to describe everything about the learnings here, as this is mostly based on true lies incidences so covered most of them their in the book. Unique thing I learned from this story is follow your heart, don’t misunderstood the meaning of love, if you love someone more that does not mean you don’t love yourself. Love yourself first! “If you are disappointed in love…Fall in love again. Life is a journey of new experiences!”
Q. What do you feel that why our novels are not so popular in the west?
Ans. Our novels specially romance are based on Indian cultures and traditions youths in India are more keen about reading such novels and writers keep that in mind to make such story to work in India. Short in page length, easy English language and more to what are happenings in India that restricts novel to reach and sell in abroad.
Q. What were those absurd problems which you faced in the publishing journey?
Ans. It is quite common about rejection of the manuscript especially for the first time author. So that was a big challenge for me to keep following and never quit until it is published.
Q. How do you look back when you see your dreams turning into a reality?
Ans. It is always joyful to look back and remember struggle days.
Q. Are we going to see the next part of the novel?
Ans. It is too early to comment about that.
Q. You have been invited by reputed colleges, what message are you delivering in your direct interactions with your readers?
Ans. I am in no position to give any advice or messages but definitely I will share what I truly experienced during my publishing journey.
Q. Please summarize the message that you tried to deliver through your first book?
Ans. “If you fail in love…Fall in love again. Life is a journey of new experiences!”
