Japan has always made it to the headlines for unthinkable ethical news. This time too they have made it to the headlines for a strike that they have undertaken differently. A bus strike! We can never interfere or manipulate a labor strike be it in any part of the world. But Japan bus drivers have brought a twist to this very usual labor bus strike between the drivers and the company. With the National bus strike entering the fourth week from commencement with a little to a lot of inconvenience being caused, the bus drivers have made sure to make their complaint be heard. They have achieved it not just in Japan, but the whole world is now raising voice using this type of strike.
Bus drivers of Ryobi Group in the district of Okayama initiated the protest as the management, and the drivers could not get an agreement regarding the security of their job. This tension arises after a rival company started competing with low fares which triggered the insecurity among the drivers of the company.

The way in which they led their protest is what the world has to learn from. Unlike the usual way, they didn’t stop their buses to cause public inconvenience. They continued to drive the buses but covered and switched off their ticket machines and allowed local commuters to ride for free. Thereby not disturbing the everyday life of the people but causing a lot of loss to the company.
Generally, where it is the minority side that incurs a lot of loss, this time Japan bus drivers made sure to reverse the cycle. It is always the poor who lose the battle and in this very case the bus drivers and commuters. But with this strategy, the company will incur a lot of loss, and the drivers will lose their income, but the passengers will not be affected. With not much difference in the points being easier by both sides, let’s hope that this strike will end soon and bring a change to the labor fights all over the world.
