Gautam Adani has become the top gainer this year who has added the highest amount of wealth in 2021 so far. Amid the global pandemic, he has achieved a remarkable milestone by adding the highest wealth to his fortune.
Statistics of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index
As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, in 2021, Adani has added $16.2 billion for which his total net worth reached $50 billion. He is now the 26th richest person in the world with a surge in his wealth. Except for one stock, all the shares of Adani group stocks have rallied at least 50% this year. Sunil Chandiramani, founder and chief executive officer at Nyka Advisory Services said, “Adani has been consistently expanding its business in areas that are resilient to market cycles”. He further added, “Now with the entry in data centers business, the group has also indicated its appetite for venturing into technology”.
The defeat of Musk, Bezos, and Ambani
In terms of the wealth generation this year, Gautam Adani beat two of the world’s richest people, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. Bezos has seen a downturn of 7.59 billion while Elon Musk has added $10.3 billion to his net worth. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries has a net worth of $84.8 billion and so far in this year, he has added $8.05 billion to his wealth. So, Ambani is also on the list whom Adani has defeated.
