According to data provided by the Centre in Parliament on Monday, almost 90% of teaching personnel in 25 states and six Union Territories have gotten at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccination.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated in a written response to a question from TDP MP JayadevGalla in the Lok Sabha that 93.54 percent of teaching employees and 87.45 percent of non-teaching staff have been fully or partially vaccinated across the country.
As per government data, 100% of teaching and non-teaching employees in Tripura, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Ladakh, and Lakshadweep are either fully or partially vaccinated. Maharashtra has also given at least one dosage of the vaccine to its entire teaching staff.
