A very clear message from our own Prime Minister.

“Be Vocal about your Local Manufacturing, Local Markets, Local Supply Chain”. Local is not
merely a need but a responsibility for every citizen.

The Great Pause (our definition of the current situation) has given us enough time to retrospect and plan the future. Become not only self-reliant but also create world class products & services to sell across the globe. Our advocacy of One World One Family to the world is much more relevant in today’s time than ever before.

We must not think of consumer driven initiatives but mankind driven action plan. If we are the leaders that the world will reckon then we have to address the primary factors – Quality & Supply Chain issues. They directly impact the cost and competitiveness of the products in Intl Market. While quality is direct responsibility of the manufacturer, Supply chain is collective responsibility of all Stakeholders involved in the process.

Our PM stressed upon five points.
Let’s dwell on each from the perspective as Buyer’s Council.

I. Economy: Quantum Jump is only possible when Service Sector is also given a similar importance in planning and action as the Manufacturing Sector. After all, it is the serviceability which defines who gets the business. Unless someone does not step out and sell the Product the Manufacturing does not get its due and this where the Buying Agents play a major role. As we step out in the world and represent more  than just a factory or a sector we represent a Country and its ethos and values.

II. Manufacturing : We must address the logistics challenge in every aspect of our life. New business will evolve, Warehousing, Distributors, Channel Marketers, and the biggest of all the Logistical Support systems, need to be streamlined and strengthened. This is the need of hour to focus on. Timely delivery ensures Cost
efficiency.

III. Newer Business Tools: Time has come for the IT Industry to rise up and help build a New India. Wherein, tech empowers the Goods Industry in getting connected to the world. Virtual Fairs, Video Presentations, Product development using 3D tech needs to be leveraged and used. The Buying Agents can play the front runners in this by helping the Industry learn and adapt to the needs.

IV. Demography: The diversity in our population in its cultures in its expeectaion as a whole is a huge strength for the country. We have to look at ways to harness it and promote it across the globe. And there is no better person than Buying Agents- who are a Sourcing Expert in helping the industry develop and grow beyond its immediate vicinity.

IV. Demand: there is always a demand for good quality product at competitive price. The PM has made it amply clear that the Country will support and help market its capacities internationally. The need of the hour is for efficiency in supply chain and more youngsters to join the industry and help it strive to meet the Intl requirements. We see the Govt envisioning a New World Order wherein India can definitely play a bigger role. FBA believes there is ample opportunity for the BA’s in this. And we all need to be ready for this. Collaborate and work on cohesive strengths to grow the Brand India in the World.
