Dhaka Bureau Policy Times : Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh Mr. Rinchen Kuentsyl paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban on Thursday (26 November) .

During the meeting Bangladesh Prime Minister said the two countries have wonderful relationship and recalled her visits to Bhutan. Referring to the cooperation in different fields between the two countries, Bangladesh Prime Minister expressed the hope that this cooperation will continue in the days to come.

Bhutanese Ambassador highly appreciated the pragmatic leadership of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said Bangladesh’s economy is growing strongly under her leadership. He also informed the Bangladesh Prime Minister about the signing of the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between Bangladesh and Bhutan next month.

The PTA between Bangladesh and Bhutan will be signed in December 2020, which is expected to further boost the trade and commerce between the two countries.
