Former JNU student leaders Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, and eight others have been charged in a sedition case filed over an “anti-national” event organized in the campus in 2016. Reacting to the 1204-page chargesheet, Kanhaiya Kumar told to ANI, “I appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a speedy trial so that the actual facts of the matter come to light.”
