If we talk about education during the pandemic, it may be that physical classes have been restricted but the online classes are still on. And as March approaches, the examinations are going to knock on the doors soon. Every child is worried about performing well in exams, so are the parents of the child! So, let us discuss how to eat right so that it increases the concentration and memory of the children.
What does it mean to eat right?
Most people do not know the meaning of eating right. They think that eating right means you cannot eat tasty! Well, that’s NOT the case! What you need to do is that you have to maintain a balanced diet that comprises everything starting from carbs to fats. It is not that you cannot eat fats while you are on diet. The most important thing to consider while eating right is to watch your portions.
You MUST not eat in a way that stuffs your stomach entirely. You must eat in fewer portions but you can do that frequently. Also, you must include more greens and lots of water in your daily diet to maintain a healthy routine. Some food helps in increasing memory and building concentration that we are going to discuss next in this article.
Know your food
When exams are nearing, it’s evident for students to get nervous and stressed which affects their eating habits way too much. But you must never let your food affect your mental abilities. So, you must know which food to eat during the time of your exams.
Green leafy vegetables- they contain high iron levels that boost the hemoglobin level of the body and that in turn improves your concentration and it’s good for the eyes and brain also.
Avoid high sugar content food– high sugar content in food can give you instant energy but after a time period, it can lead to fatigue and restlessness. So, you must avoid foods such as cake, chocolates, and other high sugar content foods.
Include protein– it is a necessary macronutrient that every person must consume according to their age. It not only boosts your memory but also provides energy to you. You can eat egg white, almonds, milk, broccoli, etc. in your diet for intaking protein.
Water- it’s one of the most significant lists on your daily diet! Drink lots of water to avoid dehydration and prevent headaches and cramps during your exams. You must maintain this healthy habit even when you do not have exams.
More things to consider besides eating right
Even if you eat right, there are some other things that you still need to follow during your exams to keep your mind calm and healthy. You should not avoid sleeping less than 7-8 hours as it can disturb your brain enormously. Have adequate sleep, take less stress, and of course eating right and you are all set for your exams!
