The UAE in a special plane to Afghanistan has sent emergency aid for the people since the Taliban took over complete control in the war-torn country. A flight from Bahrain delivered 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid including food, medical supplies, and clothes in Afghanistan on Sunday, the TOLO news reported.

 

The humanitarian aid also comes days after the United Nation urged the countries to contribute to Afghanistan in such graving hours, wherein, the country has already started to experience food crisis, lack of medical facilities as well as the economy is on the verge of collapse. 

 

The assistance from the United Arab Emirates comes within the humanitarian role played by the country in providing full support to the people of Afghan. The confirmation regarding the dispatch of aid was done by UAE’s foreign ministry to the ASP news agency. The UAE was among the three nations back in 1996 and 2001 to recognize the Taliban in the world forum.
