The Policy Times Dhaka Bureau (June 13) :
This was the first-ever consultation under an MoU on FOC signed between the two sides in May 2017.

Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Director General (West Europe & EU), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh and Ms. Gabriele Meon-Tschürtz, Head of the Department for Asia and Pacific, Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Austria led their respective delegations. Bangladesh Ambassador to Austria Mr. Muhammad Abdul Muhith and Austrian Ambassador-designate to Bangladesh Ms. Katharina Wieser were also present during the Consultations.

The consultations included bilateral political and economic issues of mutual interest including trade, investment, connectivity, partnerships, Bangladesh’s graduation from the LDC list, and the Rohingya issue. Other issues of global importance including Agenda 2030, climate change, and post-COVID recovery were also discussed.
