At the time when IPL have been synonymous to a festive procession which is comparable to the giants football and baseball clubs of Europe and USA, it is always wonderful to have a look at the IPL happenings. Every year we are surprised by either some new rules or an athletic performance of an underdog. Now when it was customary for the teams to retain their favourite player, it didn’t went as expected.

We will have a look at the retained players’ alongwith the surprises.

Chennai Super Kings have banged the IPL already with their mesmerizing performance and it was not a surprise when they retained their three key players including the charismatic captain M S Dhoni after arriving on the scene once again.
