Focusing on choosing career in Law, Chief Guest Dr. V.K Agarwal said, “Higher education is necessary for students. They need to learn skills and needs to be successful in that. Success starts with one’s vision, then comes its planning to achieve it , then comes execution and when these three things are done then one will be successful. Student’s career starts in class XI, when he or she chooses a stream. Career also depends on the financial status. Law is open for any subjects, same for humanities and management. Post- Covid has brought a new reform in the education system. Every student will have to adapt themselves to the new technology”.
Addressing the students he advised, “Choose your career and will have to do justice to that career. Respect is gained when one can stand somewhere in the society and can earn. Till you work and dedicate yourself and earn you’ll not be able to do justice to your career.”
“A student can opt for law humanities and management and even journalism after studying science and commerce. Our university is providing courses in law, humanities, yoga and many more. Our university has even created a virtual classroom where students are able to study by sitting back at their home. The professors are teaching online. Students can opt for lecturer by doing graduation, post-graduation PhD and research works, said Prof. (Dr.) Anup Pradhan.
There is a lot of uncertainty and tension among students about their career. After the result of class XII a lot of unprecedented situations have come up says Prof. K.G Suresh. He further said, “This is an economic slowdown and we have to cope up with this and keep the education system ongoing and joining job market with education system will be injustice. Students should have inclination towards the subject and should foresee their interest in the subjects. The students, who are studying in class XII, can change their subjects in the Post- graduate level”.
He added, “Students can even opt for fashion there are various colleges where fashion technology is taught but there are entrance exams for those colleges and admissions depends on the marks secured in the entrance.
Students can choose law as a career, and then law is divided into different categories like criminal, civil and even revenue. Students have to do LLB and then LLM and then in LLM can choose a specialisation and then practice according to their specialisation. One can even go for judiciary and for judiciary one has to give exams for judiciary.
There is scope in every sector and prepare yourself according to the market demand. Everyone should have a primary knowledge about the subject he/she wants to pursue. Education should not get a break even in this current scenario.
The Policy Times in future will reach out to the drop out students to help them to choose the right career and a bright future and will allow them to connect to such eminent speakers.
