The CBSE Class 12 Result 2021 was released yesterday. While no official merit list has been revealed, Ansuiya Khushwah has got a perfect 100% in the CBSE 12th Board 2021 results, making her the national topper. It’s fair for skeptics to raise doubts, but as the only member of her family to graduate from high school, her narrative is inspiring and worthy of praise.

Ansuiya is the daughter of a laborer, and her family has long struggled to match means to ends. Her father, a laborer and a marginal farmer struggled to provide for his wife and seven children. The children were kept out of school due to the expanding responsibilities of the growing family. Her older brothers only completed Class 8 of school, but none of her older sisters attended.  Ansuiya, a bright young lady, had her world turned upside down when she qualified for VidyaGyan, a residential institution that handpicks 200 rural toppers and provides them with free education. Ansuiya was a standout throughout, striving to improve her score at every turn. It was because of her determination that she was able to become the school and district topper in her Class 10 Board Exams in 2019, scoring 98.2 percent aggregate.

“Online classes were very tough. Especially in the place where I live, with bad connectivity. But our teachers were patient and helped us throughout, answering our queries on WhatsApp, taking calls to explain the concepts. It was more work than we could do in school. Lack of physical classes was acutely felt. So when schools reopened in February, we all were determined to make the best of the time we had and completely prepared to appear for the exam in May,” she shares.

Looking ahead, Ansuiya plans to pursue a journalism degree. Her academic study at Delhi University is totally funded thanks to a scholarship from the Karm Trust. She recognizes that she would need to work after graduation to support her family, but her ambition is to crack the UPSC Civil Services and become an IAS official.

Ansuiya registered for 5 subjects which included English, Hindi, history, Geography, and Painting, and has scored 100 in all 5. Ansuiya’s school Principal and Vice-Principal also offered their congratulations to the deserving candidate and hope the best for her. Apart from Ansuiya, the school has also recorded a high score of 99.2% in the Science stream and 99% in the Commerce stream. School with 109 students who were registered for the CBSE 12th Board, has recorded an average score of 96.5%.
