The much-awaited decision about the remaining examination has arrived. On the official website of the central board of secondary education(CBSE) cbse.nic.in, new date sheet for the remaining exams of class 10th and 12thhas been released on 18 May 2020. Union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted to give the information about the forthcoming examinations. 10th and 12th board exams were postponed because of the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country. Board exams on the 10th class are pending only in the northeast sector of Delhi. The remaining examination of these two classes is rescheduled between 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020. A total of 21 exams are planned to take place in July including 6 exams of 10th and 15 exams of class 12th.
On July 1st, the first paper will be of social science whereas the paper will be of English. On July 10th exams will be conducted of both courses of Hindi and on July 15th for both the courses of English
Exams will hold keeping in mind the social distancing norms. Health Guidelines are given to the students, under which they need to bring their sanitizer and wear a mask in the examination center. Parents are also advised to ensure that their ward is not sick. According to a board official, “students will appear for the exam in their schools and not external test centers to travel minimum travel distance. Schools will be responsible for ensuring social distancing norms are followed and students will be required to carry their sanitizer bottles and cover their face with mask”.
As the guidelines are given by the CBSE, the exams are to be conducted in the respective school of the students and not in the exam centers provided earlier.
Moreover, the ministry is also planning to announce the result of the examinations by the end of the month and the evaluation process has already begun. The HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank in a question-and-answer round held at a national television on Tuesday said that to ensure the fast results, teachers who are involved in the evaluation process will be exempted from delivering academic and administration work the tenure. 3000 evaluation centers from where answer sheets would be distributed to teachers at their homes for evaluation and then collected.
