With rumors doing rounds about the panic created by the suspected spread of COVID 19 after one of the reputed school  Shriram Millenium School in Noida has been ‘unofficially’ shut after several students of the school attended the birthday party thrown by the son of Delhi man, who was tested positive for corona virus. All those who were present are being tested and have been advised to self- quarantine for 14 days. It is also reported that parent’s community has decided not to send their children to the school.

The exams have been postponed, and the school has sent a mail to all parents mentioning the steps being taken by them for the safety of the children, mentioning that the school is in contact with district administration and CMO, Gautambudh Nagar who visited the school.

The panic has gripped the Noida and Delhi because of the dreadful consequences of the disease caused by the virus. It had lead to shortage of masks as people are hoarding to chemist shops to buy masks for safety. One of the chemist while speaking to Policy Times Correspondent said, “All the stock of masks in my shop has exhausted, waiting for more masks for shop”.

Meanwhile, six more people in Agra have been detected positive for the virus during sample testing in Agra, after they came in contact with COVID-19 patient from Delhi. Precautionary measures, to stop the spread of disease has been released by WHO, after the virus has gripped more than seventy countries across the globe.
