The US passed China as a nation with most infections
The United States has surpassed China as the country with most confirmed COVID 19 patients, with cases touching 82,000. President Trump said it is “a tribute to the high number of testing we’re doing”. He also raised suspicion on China saying “I’m sure you’re not able to tell what China is testing or not testing. I think that’s a little hard.” More than 1000 people have died in the US. 3.3 million Filed for unemployment last week, the biggest single-week jump in history. On Thursday Trump spoke to Chinese President Mr. Xi Jinping and described it as a “very good conversation”, he tweeted on 27th March.
Chinese media reported Mr. Xi warned trump to take “substantive” action to improve the relationship between two nations.

China reported its first locally transmitted Coronavirus case in three days, although oversees travellers still dominate the total number of cases. Authorities on Friday reported only 55 new coronavirus cases. There were 67 new cases a day earlier
PM Narendra Modi Calls for Stronger WHO
In the online G20 meeting of world leaders, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the measure to strengthen and reform WHO to adapt to the new challenges. He also spoke that the economic and financial aspects of the pandemic should not subsume the human aspect. On the other hand, the Delhi Government announced it might be entering stage 3 of community Transmission.
‘Brazilians Immune to the Virus’ Says Bolsonaro
Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro has claimed Brazilians “never catch anything” as Covid-19 cases rise in the country. He decisively put an end to the idea that Latin America’s biggest economy could soon face a situation as severe as the United States. Without any scientific evidence, Bolsonaro said, “I think it’s even possible lots of people have already been infected in Brazil, a few weeks or months ago, and have already got the antibodies that help it not to proliferate”. Brazil has reported 3,000 cases and 77 deaths.
Deaths of Health Workers Mount in Italy
Worst hit Italy recorded the death of Forty-one health workers from the coronavirus, with more than 5,000 doctors, nurses, technicians, ambulance staff and other health employees infected. “It’s as if a storm hit us,” said Roberto Stellini, a doctor of infectious diseases at Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia.
Australia Places all Returning Travellers in Hotel Quarantine
