On June 27 In India coronavirus cases crosses 5 lakh- mark with the highest single-day spike of 18,552 new cases of coronavirus recorded in the past 24 hours. Since June 20, India has added 92,573 coronavirus cases and more than 3.18 lakh since June 1.
According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India registered its worst single-day increase in novel coronavirus cases, as cases in India increases by 18,552, while the death toll climbed to 15,685 and then added 384 fresh fatalities recorded in last 24 hours.
With this now COVID-19 tally in the country has reached 5, 08,953 which includes the total number of active cases stand at 197,387, while a total of 295,880 people has been recovered or discharged from hospitals. The death toll stands at 15685 and one people has migrated outside India, as per health ministry updated figures at 8 am. The recovery rate stands at 58.13 %
Of the 384 deaths reported, 175 were in Maharashtra, 63 in Delhi,46 in Tamil Nadu, 19 in Uttar Pradesh, 18 in Gujarat, 13 in Haryana, 12 in Andhra Pradesh, 10 each in West Bengal and Karnataka, 7 in Telangana, 4 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Punjab, 1 each in Bihar, Rajasthan, Jammu Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, and Uttrakhand.

As per health Ministry data 10,244 COVID-19 patients have been declared cured in a single day. Since June 13, the number of patients has been more than the active cases in India.
Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu reported more than 60% cases in the country. Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai are the worst-hit cities in India by Covid-19. Maharashtra continues to be on top with a total number of COVID-19 positive cases at 1, 52,765. So far Delhi, the second worst-hit state reported 77,240 confirmed COVID-19 cases while Tamil Nadu at the third spot has reported 74,622 cases till now, as per MoHFW.

On Friday Jharkhand government announced an extension of the lockdown till July 31 on Friday to contain the spread of COVID-19.
