Repeating his stellar performance like that of last year, Crescent Academy Umarpur has achieved remarkable success in this year’s West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. Mohammad Sarfaraz (Bengali-91, English-95, Math-99, Physics-98, Biology-95, History-97 and Geography-99) was the first to get the highest number of 674 marks from this institute.

The institution has around 200 students. This year Tawfiq Mamud (Bangla-96, English-93, Math-100, Physics-97, Life Science-96) got second position with 672 marks and Md. Nawab Ali Sheikh got third position with 657 marks. Mohammad Sarfaraz and Tawfiq Mahmood’s are sons of labourers from rural areas of Murshidabad while Mohammad Ali Sheikh’s father is Orthopedically Handicapped.
The families of the successful students applauded the scientist Saidur Rahman for his philanthropic initiative in the field of education. Mohammad Sarfaraz and Tawfiq Mamud have been admitted in class XI of Al Amin Mission Khalatpur branch to achieve their dreams of becoming doctors in the near future. Scientist Md. Saidur Rahman wished the successful students all the way from America for more success in the near future and said that he would now spread and implement his mission more passionately. Md. Sobiul Islam, Director, Crescent Academy, said that in order to cater quality education to the marginal sections of society, more people like Sir Mohammad Nurul Islam, General Secretary of Al-Amin Mission and scientist Saidur Rahman are needed.
