Today’s digital world generates an exorbitant amount of data every minute but there is no systematic process to analyze the data and link it to value in real life. There is a very pressing need to process, store the valuable data and link it to real, practical, and physical value.

Galileo Innovations Private Ltd, a part of G Group based in Bengaluru, operates in the arena of product and document authentication, track and trace solutions. Mr. Badrinath kindly introduces yourself. Tell us a bit about your professional journey and your organization.
I am originally from a Mechanical Engineering background but my profession has been in the IT arena. Throughout my profession, I have strived to bring innovative solutions to the IT sector. There is a lot of data in this world but only a meager amount of it has been linked to its real practical value according to its relevance.
Galileo Innovations Private Ltd was founded in 2019 and has been working in this niche subject. we are trying to introduce a systematic process of bringing physical connection to the growing databases and give it authentic validation through confirmations from the adjudicators for the user’s benefit. The core focus is to provide value to the digital data in the market, which is one of the untouched subjects. Our initiative is to bring this data value proposition as a data chain link. We are in the process of going into the market in the coming days.
Your organization and its service are truly unique. Can you tell us, what are products and services you are offering and how is it going to benefit your potential clients? In addition, what are the sectors you are catering to for all these services?
Data is an important resource. Every second billion of bytes of data are generated but there is no system to guarantee the data authenticity. We ensure the owner of the data absolutely guarantees validation of the data to the consumer or user.
Applications of our service are plenty. Galileo Innovations is working on conclusive evidence and accountability of data. Any data shared among two people should have accountability of the transaction. We created a system of Right to Product Information(RPI) which has its root in the Right To Information process. That is how the data that is generated by the manufacturer or an issuer is linked by us for detection, verification, and authentication on spot. All these three processes happen simultaneously. The vision is to create a value chain for digital data with a physical entity connected to it.RPI can be a requirement in the coming days as a personal consent-based data aggregation. We have a processor module named digifix(digital and physical) which is a layer to connect transacted data with the consent of the users.
As per the studies, there are a lot of data losses due to human errors, system errors, and other reasons but our three-step module prevents the loss of valuable data. Right to Product Information (RPI) is definitely a game-changer in the authentication domain. Our mission is to be a prophetic gateway for authentic material information as part of the evidence. And we do believe that there is no such concept of evidence or material evidence with the consent of the user. We are trying to establish the act of evidence as the data is generated by an individual so, they should be the absolute owners.
It should be part of fundamental rights in the coming days as policy issues. Now, the data value is the typical conclusive proof of ownership. In today’s world, there are so many products that are called duplicates, fakes, and counterfeits which run into several trillion dollars. So, empower the consumer rights as it is transactional value information, right of an individual. Of course, this fortifies the governance value. It’s a long-term vision of our company. For example, Counterfeit products cause over 1.05 lakh crore loss annually in India. It’s a global concern. RPI is the need of the hour and a solution to the issue in discussion.
It’s safe to create value for digital data. It’s a seamless end-to-end process and all the stakeholders from the system will get the benefit to track, trace and verify every information. Origin discovery is the missing link in the entire data securities worldwide. We facilitate the link between the owner and the recipient. It could be connected with different stakeholders across different sectors. The trust factor of the stakeholders for the information that they are receiving becomes absolute. This hints at a strong link between origin and end-user of information for transparency in the authenticity of information and accountability. The immense effect it could have to tackle counterfeits especially in FMCG & lifestyle products is huge, increasing visibility, awareness of the authenticity of products for consumers, and enforcing accountability for the seller in case of foul.
There is a diverse market open to us. The innovation has been patented pushing it one step closer to the market. Under RPI, we have connected the digital data to physical relevance or entity under a document-oriented verification encrypted system. Then we use nanotechnologies for the identification of auto components. We build our own SPMS, which is required for a specific kind of process that goes into it. We have tie-ups with various other international partners and we have exclusive rights to certain technologies. Collective IPS, that we work on.
What are the challenges for the realization of this project?
The subject of Right to information and Product Information and consumerism is very important as it’s social engineering. There are not many players in this space though there are a number of companies that do brand protection programs. We are into social engineering where we connect the consumers who are the largest beneficiaries of the rules and regulations of the manufacturer and the Government. We are striving to eliminate the risk of fake products reaching consumers through the Right to Product Information( RPI) process. This social value engineering is something unique. To give an ethical point of view about conclusive and competent proof of ownership. RPI has the potential to give referential data integrity. We are helping in the rapid decision support to save time, money, and effort. The manufacturer will get benefitted as their brand value will be better. It’s a tactical support system where we can connect all transactors to the origin of information or data, which is a missing link and this comes under the authentic value governance.
As this is the post covid pandemic era, the era of collaboration, we have to collaborate across the value chain, different stakeholders. what would be your message to your potential clients and the investors and users and to the whole ecosystem?
As it is very well known that the consumer is the king. From that perspective, trust is a crucial factor in consumer service. As a manufacturer, the focus will be on revenue. It should not be affected adversely by the inclusion or intrusion of other systems. While consumers’ focus will be on absolute guarantees, the price priorities, the taxation issues with the government. This market is very large, two segments are there. One is the data. What if we have a process through RPI which will protect the manufacturer and the data owners to give value and physical link to that data authenticity. It’s a non-existent system today in the world. From an investor perspective, it’s a long-term program, we have to go ahead and build this ecosystem. Of course, there is a limitation as the policy issues came into the scene. The best part that can happen globally is the privacy angle we are trying to eliminate because we are talking in terms of consent-based transactions. We have hundreds of web applications running. There is no connection to the financial institution for a transaction that happens in the digital world. Similarly, in a document given to somebody, we are unsure of the ownership or issuer of the information in case a problem arises. So we are trying to connect the issuer perpetually and permanently through various technologies. Like nanotechnology, biometrics, and various other things. We have our own platform. Hopefully, we will be giving a data format itself something like a pdf or a document, which is our own system known as Bharat Image Transform, it’s a very new process, which can protect Data security. Stakeholders at every level from the owners, manufacturers, the investors, and the whole ecosystem will benefit when consumers benefit.
The Program is chaired and mentored by Dr. P. Sekhar, Chairman Unleashing India, Global Smart City Panel, MTGF. According to Dr. Sekhar, it is an age of data and there is a need for an authorized data authentication system that connects all stakeholders in the market. This not only eliminates the risk of counterfeit but fraud, cyber security, and countless other pressing cyber threats present to digital consumers.
