Dhaka Bureau Policy Times : Bangladesh Health Minister Zahid Maleque on 31 October (Saturday) said an agreement will be signed with the producing company within four days to procure Covid-19 vaccine for Bangladesh.
He made the remarks while distributing relief among 1,000 people who are either affected by coronavirus or are poor or jobless in Sadar upazila of Manikganj district of Dhaka division.
Mentioning that the second wave of coronavirus has already hit the Europe and the infection might see a rise in Bangladesh in winter, the minister urged all to abide by recommended health guidelines around social distancing, facemask and handwashing.
He also said Bangladesh’s situation is better as people follow health guidelines here.
Zahid Maleque mentioned that the government has provided assistance to 4 crore poor people during this coronavirus pandemic. He said all the mills and factories have been opened to keep the wheels of the economy moving.
