PM Modi launched the National Health ID under the initiative Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) aims to develop the the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. The ABHA will link all health care benefits ranging from public health programs to insurance schemes. The Health ID would enable individuals and health care practitioner to exchange health records across all verticals. The ownership off the account lies with the beneficiary and can be accessible by any health care practitioner only after granted access. According to NHA, all information is stored with the encryption mechanism will allowed based on prior consent from the beneficiary.
