The news conference held in Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, DC.

Last month Donald Trump has temporarily suspended the contribution of the US to the WHO, accusing it of being promoting China’s disinformation and accusing it of being very close to Beijing and covering up and mismanaging the coronavirus pandemic.

Although the officials of WHO has denied the accusation and on the other hand, China claimed that it was transparent and open. Earlier also, President Trump said, “WHO had done a very bad job in the handling of the coronavirus”. Thereafter, he will decide on the US funding soon.

On Monday, Trump tweeted a letter’s images which he sent it to the WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, saying that the letter was “self-explanatory”.

In the letter, trump listed some papers, where he mentioned that these are the examples of WHO’s ignorance and shortcomings in managing the early reports of the emerging virus and being close to China.

“These are the repeated mistakes of you and your organization in responding to the pandemic which has been extremely costly for the world. The only way forward for the world is if it can demonstrate independence from China, adding that his administration has already started reform discussion with Tedros.” Trump said in its letter.

He also informed WHO chief that “If WHO will not commit to the major sustainable improvements within 30 days he will make temporarily freeze to the US funding to the WHO as permanent and also to reconsider the membership of US in the organization and will not allow American taxpayers to continue to finance an organization that, in its present state, is not serving America’s interest.”

Earlier on Monday, the WHO said an independent review will be launched in the response of the global coronavirus pandemic as soon as possible and it received backing and a hefty pledge of funds from china as it is the origin of the pandemic.
