Bangladesh has remarkably achieved 23% Energy Efficiency against the target of 15% target set for 2021 in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Master Plan. On June 08, 2021, SREDA declared the achievements in the workshop on National Energy Balance: Bangladesh Perspective. Nasrul Hamid, State Minister Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources graced the event organized by SREDA under Energy Efficiency and Conservation Promotion Financing Project.

Energy Intensity improves 23% against the target of 15%.SREDA, IDCOL, and BIFFL’s concerted effort has been successfully implementing the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Promotion Financing Project, a nearly 300 million USD Project financed by JICA. The Project provides concessional loans through IDCOL and BIFEL to install energy-efficient equipment in industries and buildings.
