A speech in a TED talk back in the year 2015, where bill gates indicated that humans are going to suffer more from a virus than war instigated the conspiracy theories against him. Many active bodies are pointing out the fact that the coronavirus must be a planned move by the billionaire philanthropist to control the world population. Is there any truth in the news? Israeli historian Harari smashes any such influences and concludes that it’s a plain “conspiracy” against one of the world’s greatest leaders.
The speech that sparked the rumor
In 2015’s TED talk event held in Vancouver, bill gates said, “if anything kills over 10 million people over the next few decades, it is likely to be a highly infectious virus rather than war”. This one premonition of the upcoming pandemic said by him sparked the conspiracy theories against him as soon as the covid-19 pandemic set at the beginning of the year 2020. This misleading information and whether Bill is involved in any such conspiracy got the common people’s eye and was mentioned in television channels and social media platforms almost 1.2 million times from February to April 2020.
One man, many allegations
Not only that, Bill Gates has been accused of “creating the virus” but he has other allegations in his name as well. He has been accused of creating the coronavirus to depopulate the world and now, he has been accused of using the covid vaccine to implant microchips into the body of humans. Gates has always been vocal of any such pandemic that will hit the world in the near future and now that covid has broken out, most people think that he “knew” about it beforehand.
Yuval Noah Harari, the Israeli historian who took bill’s side explained why such conspiracies against him are being generated
While a part of the world accuses him, Bill found an intimidator in Harari, an Israeli historian. According to him, there is a vast difference between “lie and fiction” and he says, “when you are perfectly aware that something is not true and you say it in order to deceive others, whereas, fiction is very often something that you really believe in and tell others, not in order to deceive them, but to make them believe”. He makes it clear that the conspiracy against bill gates is purely fabricated and thus he pledges people to stop it. He concluded by saying, “we are still in a better situation than in almost any previous time in history”, and thus, this blame game must stop to find a real solution soon!
The Policy Times suggestion
- We are already suffering in the middle of a pandemic and we don’t yet know when we will get rid of the uncalled virus. So, any such false developments related to the virus that may mislead people in a negative way must not be taken into consideration. Such false claims shall be treated very sharply and must not be allowed to hamper the image of such an eminent personality.
- If in any way, there is any truth in the news then there must be inquiry commissions granted for the same. Not only that, there must be complete transparency in the report as well so that the common people know what exactly the allegation all about!
