Dr. Natesh, if you could tell us about yourself and about the venture you initiated.
Hdgtl is basically a combination of IT professionals, medical professionals, and also professionals in another area. It is a joint venture built together by Ananth S and me. There is a lapse between diagnosis and solution in the medical field. In an effort to bridge those two a product called CHIP (Connected Health Informatics Platform) was designed.
Dr. Natesh, please elaborate on the innovation and the product that you’ve bought and how it will benefit society at large?
As a health professional, it is a very common occurrence for me to be unable to avail patients prescribed medical history which is instrumental for accurate diagnosis and solution. As a solution for this problem an app named CHIP was designed which is basically a digital health wallet curated to store medical history as one of its features. The data security of contents in the digital wallet is completely at users’ control. CHIP also connects healthcare with people an apt solution for countries or regions where it is unavailable and makes remote digital health solutions an easy option.
What CHIP offers today?
- Connected Health– a virtual repository of all personal medical data accessible from anywhere in the world, HIPAA/GDPR compliant, unique risk profile assessment, AI-enabled chatbox with patients, data-based interventions, intuitive user dashboard.
- Data Security and Privacy Control– Blockchain-based privacy control, Immutability of data records, consent-based architecture, industry-standard encryption.
- Health Wallet Driven Actions– Intelligent health platform levaraging AI/BOTs for continuous monitoring of health, PMR and ease of integration with existing EMR platforms, health wallet encompassing personalized medicine with consent-based privacy using blockchain, AI leveraged symptoms tracker for maintenance of optimal physical/emotional/psychological health, integrated telemedicine for any time consultations, virtual clinics for online specialist consultations.
It will match with any app or software in the world.
If you could share the implementation roadmap for CHIP and how would individual customers benefit?
HDgtl is a joint venture between the US and India in terms of technology and an integrated healthcare framework. Ananth Subramaniam heads US operations and from India, I’m the director.
The individual benefit is one of the core functions of CHIP as Personal Healthcare Monitor providing complete health profile, telemedicine, symptoms chatbot, consent-based, wellness service, continuous personal monitor.
Patients can also book and avail conduct medical care online. My Health Wallet features provide Summary snapshots of all personal health records, enable historical health trends, enable regular updates.
CHIP also provides a digital technology-enabled Intelligent Wellness Platform for Corporate employees. Anytime, anywhere, any device access solution is available as an app in mobile and browser platforms and provides holistic guidance in the medical field. In India already a number of big corporations are integrated into the CHIP system.
The app also provides dietary & nutrition solution with 24 diet recall, diet recommendation based on health parameter, continuous monitoring by diet coach.
Music Therapy: Certain Raga’s and song types are there for certain diseases. In stress relief music therapy plays a huge role. We have EDURAGA – where we have tied up with well-known singers to bring music therapy
Another interesting feature is Yoga for wellness, we have Corporate Share Yoga which is every 1 hr there will be a small alarm for 2 min the app will tell them to do small stretching exercise by sitting in the chair itself to make sure the muscles are relaxed and doesn’t go into a spasm. And other yoga-like gastric disorders, pregnancy, women’s health are also available.
Mental and General Women’s Wellness- we are tying up with hospitals so that any women sitting in any region can have an appointment for booking a bed or a doctor and get to their nearest hospital. Mental illness treatment will be available from experts with confidentiality as the strictest boundary.
The roadmap ahead is to achieve: 80 % of consultation through CHIP online, only serious cases like surgery and others need to treated physically. my vision is to be a global leader in digital healthcare
Ananth Subramanian the EVP and CEO of HDgtl adds ” The data one is going to put in the system is absolutely secure, blockchain piece ensures security tags are stored in that environment and no one can disturb it. Cepa Complaint -Data portability to your standard health service. Overall designed it in a way, is going to be seamless you can access it here or in the US or any part of the world. You are going be benefitting from simple use, secure use, and widespread use.”
What kind of collaborations you are looking for from different stakeholders in the medical field and otherwise for successful implementation of CHIP? The uniqueness of CHIP you would like to address?
CHIP is designed to make healthcare accessible to all. It’s not only urban people that we are planning to collaborate with but the government as well to integrate rural people in the system as in India 60% of the population is in a rural area with scarce or in case no healthcare options. We have a plan to make CHIP versed in all Indian vernacular languages for easier access and understanding. In fact, we are also bringing an AI video bot as well so that the people who don’t know how to read can converse and avail solution. And this is one segment we feel that nobody has addressed it.
This also needs a lot of financial back-ups, do you have any financial strategy in mind?
So far we have revised our innovation up to date. Right now Anant and I have been talking to investment agencies and private funders and we are very close to getting our first round of funds.
The series was Chaired and Mentored by Dr.P.Sekhar, Chairman Unleashing India, Global Smart City Panel, MTGF.
In his concluding remark, Dr. Sekhar said CHIP is a globally relevant digital healthcare platform. It has a high prospect to digitally transform traditional healthcare. CHIP is an additional advantage for people of all age groups with its seamless integration of healthcare and digital technology. This is useful for a child who is born tomorrow or the person waiting in ICU. Everyone would like to use it and with strategically planning and operation it can require global recognition and good traction in coming years.
