Halal Angels Network is among the first to penetrate the $5 trillion global Halal consumer market and has teamed up with Let’s invest in the Maldives for the Maldivian Market to support the Maldives government initiatives for business investment, and develop and build the Halal economy and kick-startup the startup culture.

The key focus areas are Halal Tourism, Halal Fintech, Halal Foodtech, Ethical Finance, and Future Technologies. The Maldives can be one of the Halal Startup zones which can help is exports, investments, and global connectivity, especially to the African market.

They would host the Halal & Ethical Investment Summit post-COVID-19 pandemic in the Maldives. This would be part of series of Halal & Ethical Investment Summit to be held at strategic global locations to promote Halal & Ethical Investment & startups.

Currently, the Halal & Startup economy in the Maldives is at a nascent stage, the partnership aims to bolster Halal & Startup in the Maldives, through the Halal Angels Network global network.

The Maldivian government through the SDFC ‘COVID-19 Viyafaari Ehee’ (translates to Business Aid) program and the income support programs many startups have got the breathing space needed, as they pivot and adapt their business to the changing environment.

Halal Angels Network was launched to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and start-ups, and inspire investors across the world to tap into a sector that will be worth $9.71 trillion by 2025 (Reuters, 2019).
