The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un and South Korea’s president Moon Jae-in stood in their own borders, shook hands and then united once again. This peace pact was never an option between the two countries, but this handshake of warmth and comfort will lead to a great future of love and peace between the two countries.
Another major world issue that struck the whole world was the Israel and Palestine conflict. That had the world in factions too. The enmity between Cuba and the United States was deadly however the handshake between Barack Obama of the United States and Raul Castro of Cuba was something that ensured peace between the neighbors.
This took place at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela in 2013. This helped resolve ties after more than half a century. It even led to Obama visiting the beautiful Cuban islands. Flights between Cuba and United States resumed.
After a civil war in 1949, the president of China and Taiwan finally shook hands to become friendly neighbors once again. It was in Singapore in 2015.
