TPT Dhaka Bureau: In the wake of the current acute food and other crises in Afghanistan, it has been decided to send a cash grant of one crore Bangladeshi Currency to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA).

With the approval and direction of the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has taken necessary steps to transfer the money to the UN OCHA fund.

The Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations, New York, will send a grant to the Government of Bangladesh to a special fund set up by the UN OCHA for humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan, and activities in this regard are currently underway.

This money will be spent through the UN OCHA for the vulnerable people of Afghanistan.

This grant is a practical reflection of the regional brotherhood pursued by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, the integrated development of South Asia and the policy of cooperation towards all.

As a result of the grant provided by the Government of Bangladesh, the image of Bangladesh abroad is expected to be brighter.
