India’s single biggest reform in the form of GST aims to bring revolution in India’s indirect tax structure. IMCCI organised an awareness seminar to sensitise Indian industry.

Indian Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMCCI) organized a very informative awareness seminar for its Beneficiary Members on Goods and Service Tax (GST), Act 2016 on Saturday 29th April,2017 in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The seminar started by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an with the message of ethical business practice and abolition of interest based economy prevailing in the society globally.

Advocate Mohammed Dawood khan, Founder Chairman of IMCCI gave a brief introduction of IMCCI, its objective, mission and concluded with presidential speech on the topic.

Well known Chartered Accountant Mr Satish Sarda spoke and explained in details on Service Tax, its implementation detail from 1st July, 2017.

Mr. Rahul Muley, Assistant Commissioner, Sales Tax, Government of Maharashtra enlightened IMCCI beneficiary Members from different sectors and businesses about the complete GST law, Procedure and execution amendments made by Government of India.

Also present were Mr Mangesh kate, Assistant Commissioner, Sales tax, Government of Maharashtra, and other officers from the Government of Maharashtra including Mr. Pradeep Waghmare and Mr. Kishor Kayarkar,

Mr Purushottam Thakre from Nagpur Chamber of Commerce Secretary also talked about the importance of GST for business and industrial growth. Mr. Tanveer Mirza, President Yashodhara Bahudesshiya sangh, proposed vote of thanks sharing many important factors of GST implementation plan.

Directors of IMCCI Mr. Idris Sheikh and Mr. Salman Ahmed compered the programme. The seminar ended with prayer, asking The Almighty for Unity among Humanity, Communal harmony in India, Betterment and Growth of Indian Economy by Maulana Nasir, Tajbagh.
