In 2017-18, India exported goods worth $4.4 billion to South Korea. While South Korea exported goods worth $16.3 billion.
Recently, PM Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in inaugurated the world’s largest mobile factory, Noida. The report suggests that the current capacity of Samsung’s manufacturing plant in Noida is around 67 million phones. On 10th July, Giri Raj Singh minister of state for SSME and Minister of SMEs and Start-up of the Republic of Korea inaugurated India Korea Technology Exchange Centre at NSIC.
The purpose of this exchange center is to create a platform for MSMEs of India and Korea to identify and exchange the latest technologies. It will also work towards building reliable alliances in space, solar energy, Nano-technologies and some other upcoming technologies and MOU was signed between the small business corporations of Korea and NSIC for cooperation in the field of MSME sector.
