Each of these MP’s is 50 years plus but as active as ever. A round of applause to them, as they say, ‘No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.’

What The Policy Times found out, was the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh attended the parliament only 6%. Wonder what he is so busy doing other than to listen to the outcry from the state of Punjab.

“The key to wisdom is this – constant and frequent questioning, for by doubting we are led to question, by questioning we arrive at the truth.” – Peter Abelard

The three ministers who ask the most questions belong to the Opposition, Nationalist Congress Party. This is great news when trying to solve the country’s issues by questioning and not just going against it by riots and strikes.

Supriya Sule, Sharad Pawar’s daughter is very attentive in parliament and had asked questions 960 times. Intelligence is questioning, and hence this popular family from Maharashtra is all about bringing development to the country.

Although Bharatiya Janata Party boasts of good attendance, the least questions go out to many of their MPs. Many have asked no questions at all.

Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress has asked only 11 questions so far and the ex-President his mother Sonia Gandhi has asked only 6.

Active participation is required in a democratic country like India, as discussions and debates lead to great results. A policy on attendance and participation should be enacted so that MPs don’t just work for their votes but also in developing their cities, states and the ever-beautiful country called India.
