West Asia is a region enriched with rich natural resources and, thus, provides immense opportunities for business and individuals especially for the Indian subcontinent. India’s remittances earnings from the Arab world is more than that of any part of the world. There is also immense potential for business in IT & ITes, construction, civil engineering, etc for Indians.
To explore the potential and contribute in rising West Asia, the Centre for West Asian Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia University in partnership with The Policy Times is organizing a Seminar on “Exploring Economic Opportunities in West Asia” during 1030-1400 hrs on Wednesday, 14 November 2018 in New Delhi.

Mr. A P Siddiqui, a Senior IPS officer and Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University will inaugurate the Seminar. H.E. Mr. Nejmeddine LAKHAL, Ambassador of Tunisia to India and Mr. A.T.M. Rokebul Haque, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India will deliver special remarks.
Apart from students and faculty members from the department and university, businessmen, exporters, foreign embassy officials in India will participate and share views.
