Kunming has expressed interest in providing more support for the expansion of technical and vocational education in Bangladesh. A four-member delegation led by Deng Zhengjun, vice president of Kunming Railway Technical and Vocational College in Yunnan Province, China, made the remarks during a meeting with Consul General AFM Aminul Islam at the Bangladesh Consulate General in Kunming.
At the same time, the Consul General said, at present, the government has already taken and implemented various projects to spread vocational education in the country. He called on the Kunming Municipal Government to provide more scholarships for Bangladeshi students. The delegation said they would try to provide more scholarships for Bangladeshi students interested in studying in educational institutions under the Kunming Municipal Government. The delegation expressed interest in setting up similar educational institutions in Bangladesh for Kunming Railway Vocational and Technical College.
Md. Bazlur Rashid, First Secretary (Commerce) of Bangladesh Consulate General was present at the occasion. The other members of the delegation are Young Xiaoping, director of foreign affairs at the Kunming Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, Liu Mingun, director of international cooperation at Kunming Railway Technical and Vocational College, and Kunming Railway Technical and Vocational College official Wang Ping.
