Why do athletes indulge in doping?

Athletes commonly are properly versed with the fact that those performance-improving capsules will have an impact on their health and if caught will affect their career too then Why do athletes take these substances?

As a time comes in the career of athletes that their performance is not enhancing despite dedicated training that they decide to take those banned substances to enhance their overall performance, coaches too at that point refer such materials to athletes, whilst an athlete isn’t ready for a competition they dope before few months to fool the test later, when opportunities aren’t available to athletes they take such stuff, even at times they directly don’t take such materials but in different kinds. Basically, the motive in the back of doping is the enhancement in their performance and winning and no fear of getting caught and what if got caught they usually have some other job.

Pros and cons of the bill

There is no doubt that whenever a certain bill is laid down, it brings both positive as well as negative implications. This proposed bill is certainly very crucial for taking the initiative to prevent players from engaging in doping. Pros include that it saves the athletes from having a negative effect on their long-term health. It even makes an unfair playing field for the sport. The pros even include that it makes a competitive environment that motivates coercion and holds the athlete’s hostage physically and competitively. Doping even changes how the sports would be actually played, here the anti-doping bill works accurately in stopping the athletes from doping. Sportsmanship is as well reduced when doping is engaged in sports. Lastly, sports would certainly be an issue of access if the doping bill isn’t formulated.

Cons of the bill include that the recent anti-doping strategy is geared toward eradication of doping in elite sports by all-out repression, buttressed by a war-like ideology much like the public discourse maintaining global efforts in opposition to illicit tablets. in place of striving for eradication of doping in sports, which seems to be an inconceivable purpose, a more pragmatic method geared toward controlled use and damage discount may be a viable alternative to address doping and doping-like behavior.

The way forward

The Government will have to work significantly on boosting the prevention of doping among the athletes in a more strict and firm way to eliminate the practice entirely. Many experts have even stated that the ethical foundation of the war on doping consists of largely unsubstantiated assumptions about fairness in sports and the concept of a “level playing field”. The government must investigate to stop and prevent any sort of engagement in doping. These would save the athletes as well as the decency and the value of the sport.
