Pune/Mumbai, April 29: On Uddhav Thackeray, chief minister, Maharashtra’s address to the migrant workers who plead to return back to their states, homes due to lack of work and due to lockdown; Dr Tausif Malik, an Indo American has a solution.

Dr Malik who is an Indian American Social Entrepreneur based out of Chicago, USA & Pune, India, an expert in Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency and much more said, “There are lakhs of migrants currently stuck in many parts of the country. Of these over 80,000 are in Maharashtra and in several parts of the state. These are adamant on leaving as they could only survive if they are paid daily. They are daily wagers and since due to lockdown many lost their work and have absolutely no job to do; the state can start a unique initiative.”

Explaining the same he said, “Many have been quarantined in schools and various municipal corporation run halls. And if we see, many schools in state need immediate renovation and maintenance. They lack proper infrastructure as well as hygiene. While being a quarantine, these migrants can be asked to renovate, paint, clean up, fix the light bulbs etc in these schools. This will not only help they them fight their battle with mental health but it will also give them an exposure to daily work. For this, the state ministry can also offer them a pay in return. This will also push and start the slowed down economy in our state of Maharashtra.”

However, Thackeray in his address did ask for suggestions from experts in economy and otherwise to come up with solutions if any. Taking it further, Dr Malik who is a creator of the Largest Bitcoin Mining Training Programme in association with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DICCI) suggested the remedial measures which can be readily taken up by the state.
