On November 28, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad held the Common Admission Test (CAT). The exam was administered in three computer-based sessions. Slot 1 of the exam was held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., slot 2 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and slot 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

“Around 1.92 lakh students took the exam out of a total of 2.30 lakh registered eligible candidates.” This year’s overall attendance was approximately 83%, according to an official release from IIM Ahmedabad.

Three-fifths of the 1.92 lakh candidates who took the exam were female, while six-fifths were male. Two candidates in the transgender category also took the exam. In the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak last year, approximately 83.5 percent of candidates took the CAT 2020 b-school entrance exam.

CAT 2021 was held in 438 exam centres spread over 156 cities in India. The test lasted 120 minutes [160 minutes for candidates in the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category].

The official CAT answer key will be released by IIM Ahmedabad in the first week of December. The CAT 2021 answer key will be accessible online at iimcat.ac.in. The CAT results will most likely be released in the second week of January 2022. The CAT 2021 result is only valid until December 31, 2022.
