A list of 100 progressive higher education institutions across the country was released as a motivation to boost academic as well as operational excellence in the sector.
The Tech-Curriculum Institutes
upgrade recently collaborated with Amrita University (Vishwa Vidyapeetham) along with the addition of two prime courses of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degrees to its online learning portfolio. The three-year undergrad courses will be powered by an upgrade in which the learners will receive an Amrita Alumni status, including internships, projects, and placement assistance along with their degree. The UPES also introduced new undergraduate and postgraduate programs in its School of Engineering and School of Computer Science. The undergrad courses include B. Tech in Advance Materials and Nano Technology, with two specializations in Smart Material and Computational Material Science, and B.Tech in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering with two specializations in Energy Storage Systems and Waste to Energy. The institution also introduced an integrated four-year B.Sc.-M. Sc programs in Chemistry and Physics along with specialization in their respectively.
A holistic approach to the Secondary education
A 26-week-long Mindspark Maths Live Classes from April 12 commenced for classes III to VIII across all boards. Mindspark will conduct live classes for a batch of 20 students twice a week for 60 minutes after school hours. At a fee of Rs 9499 for 12 months the parents can gauge their children’s development through the assessments and regular reports.StayQrious recently launched ‘Coding Foundations Season 1’, a 13-episode blended-learning course for free on YouTube. The course contains visual explanations and is designed for children between 8-14 years. A heavyweight competitor Akash Institute cleared the prestigious National Science Olympiad (NSO) Exam. Nearly, 1656 students bought laurels to the institute. The academy also reportedly scored reported Zonal Rank 1 across India.
Internshala has emerged as a successful firm in upgrading the technical skills of students. Around 63,000 students enrolled in online learning during the year 2020. While 21,000 women upskilled themselves in the same year. Python, a programming language attracted huge learners on this platform. Subsequently, Generation India Foundation (GIF) and Alliance of Skill Training Partners (ASTP) recently organized a webinar on ‘Improvements and Transformation Required in the Skills Ecosystem’, which focused on deliberating and presenting views of multiple stakeholders in the Skills ecosystem in India including National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IKEA Foundation, BlackRock and many more. The speakers highlighted the alignment with industry 4.0, the importance of female labor force participation, embracing the new normal in today’s virtual world, rising need for re-skilling and upskilling.
