The Covid- 19 pandemic has locked down everybody around the world within the four walls; Country’s national growth to fall and in this situation India needs to come up with ideas to take to the next National reincarnation level or rather how do we see the world or picture from the eyes of India and a give complete perspective about the next level of growth, development and prosperity. The next step to bring growth and development to our country at its best is to fight corona back, in which building immunity is a biggest asset or solution to fight Covid and it has been very clearly proved and propagated worldwide. And so to give India its national growth a webinar was organized on Enhanced Role of Yoga & Ayurvedic Practices for National Reincarnation on Tuesday, July 7 from New Delhi. Eminent experts discussed how India’s ancient civilisation gift in the forms of Ayurveda, Yunani, and homeopathy and in the forms of Yoga provides amazing benefit not only to the people of India but to the world.
Starting with giving a true idea of Ayurveda, Mansoora Kadha discovered in Malegaon has proved to be a very good immunity booster, and the area which was becoming one of the most covid-19 hit areas with the help of this kind of Yunani it has got rid off Corona. The word Yoga comes from a Sanskrit word “Yunj” which means to unify or to unite. Yoga is a system that encourages the “Harmony” and Union of Body, mind and Spirit and gives the sense of Oneness. Yoga is a kind of Spiritual Science. The estimated yoga accessories industry market in India will be around INR. 500- 700 crores. A recent study showed that the annual expenditure on yoga classes, clothing, equipment and accessories in the US rose to $16 billion, up from $10 billion in the past 4 years. The people aged between 25 and 34 years spend mostly in the active wear.
Dr. P. Shekhar said, “Yoga and Ayurveda are two different breeds by itself, and these are the two things nobody challenges and they can be used anywhere in the world and moreover they are not high cost bearing and this technology was invented in India more than 5000 years back and still standing the test of time”.
“After the Covid- 19 outbreak people wanted to maintain the social distancing and yoga classes are mainly held in groups, and this could led to the spread of the virus for which the classes had to stop. There are many people who used to run the yoga studios on rental basis and the nationwide lockdown made them shut their studios.” Added Mr. Yograj C.P.
Focusing on the yoga industry he mentioned, “After the Covid- 19 outbreak the Yoga industry has collapsed but however we are trying to build it up through online yoga classes, but it does not have that reach. Yoga can work in three levels to fight Covid- 19 firstly it can significantly increase the immune system, second through proper breather it strengthens the lungs and third it avoids depression. The practice of yoga rapidly works on chronic diseases even a single session of yoga reduces stress level avoids depression and reduce inflammation and secretes the hormones and it boosts up the sanitary level increase which in turn affects the appetite, digestive system and also created good mood and the entire boosting of immune system”.
Mr. Dnyaneshwar Waghchoure said, “The backbone of health industry in India is Ayurvedic Medicine, every home has its own medicine for their primary health concern. In India during the old the home remedies were used to treat cough, cold, fever and it used to cure the diseases. And after the Covid- 19 pandemic, the Ayurvedic medicines will have a very good industry globally and everybody is looking forward that the solution will come from plant medicine and among this Yoga is also one part to boost immunity and along with this the ingredients present in Ayurveda also helps in boosting immunity rapidly and as the ancient literature says that these plant medicinal products already contains antiviral drugs that not only helps in building immunity but can also cure patients.”
At present, India manufactures Ayurvedic drugs worth Rs.6, 000 crore per year, of which rs.1, 500 crore are exported. 60% of this is crude herbs to be manufactured into products outside India and 30% is finished product shipped abroad for direct sales and 10% is partially prepared products to be finished in foreign countries.
Ayurveda and yoga both go hand in hand there is a huge difference in the actual deployment to the use of scientific technology. In yoga one can do it overnight only the right expert is needed but the challenge is right set of people as yoga needs a high level of concentration, high level of acceptability it has to be totally voluntarily whereas in Ayurveda it has a different set up here a highly planned system is needed, the planning starts right from planting where it is planted, watered, manured and then what sort of mixing has to be done and then how it has to be delivered.
In this pandemic situation the Ayurvedic tourism and yogic tourism are becoming popular and within the next few months it will grow more. And now we are in a situation where the fear is more than the death caused due to the virus and thus for these Yoga is needed to build maturity and release stress and fear created among which is definitely not required.
Yoga has been accepted globally and there should be yoga studies under the Indian government following the ancient system and not destroying it and the government should make sure that yoga should reach every levels of the society especially to the younger generation in each and every school be it private or government. Yoga and Ayurveda therapy will definitely help in curing the Covid- 19.
