
Dhaka Bureau Policy Times : Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport and Bridges government of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh and General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Mr. Obaidul Quader has said, there has been positive progress in the discussion on sharing water of common rivers between Bangladesh and India including the Teesta.
Hon’ble Minister made the remarks after the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Ms. Riva Ganguly Das paid a courtesy call on him at his office on Monday 21 September.
Hon’ble Minister said, if friendly relations and mutual understanding exist between neighbouring countries, any unresolved issue can be easily settled. Settlement of longstanding issues regarding land and maritime boundaries and enclaves between Bangladesh and India are the examples of that.
