Saudi Arabia, the protector of the holiest site of Islam and the land where Islam is born, is a self-proclaimed leader of the Muslim world. They claim that they support all Muslims in the world irrespective of their ethnicity, creed and nationality. It is true that Saudi funds roll into many poor Muslims nations for Islamic studies and various other reasons. The countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh et al. are all beneficiaries of Saudi Arabia’s money. There are millions Muslims who work in Saudi Arabia and forms an important part of the economies of the poor countries they belong to, in the form remittances.
Yet, if one sees the places where the Muslims are suffering most, Saudi Arabia extends a cold shoulder to them in terms of funding and moral support. The cases in point are Yemen, Syria, Rohingyas, and now in Sri Lanka. In all these places KSA is either an overt or covert party to the sufferings of the Muslims or is totally oblivious to the cause.
In the entire Rohingya episode, where the entire world woke up to the causes of the victims and even Trump administration expressed concern for them, there is not a single utterance of a word from the Saudi government. Neither, there is any known major fund that has flown from KSA to the refugee camps of Bangladesh where most of the Rohingyas are dwelling at present.

- Saudis are the Real Enemies of the Muslim World
Sri Lanka is facing a major crisis in terms of a clash that has broken out between the majority Buddhist community and the minority Muslims. In fact, Sri Lanka is burning leading to the calling of emergency in the nation. So far, KSA is totally mum despite the fact that there is a greater chance of the outnumbered Muslims to be mishandled.
In Syria, there is no Saudi role to provide the basic necessities to the sufferings of the people, when KSA has a bounty of funds to support. A country that proclaims to be the leader of the Muslim world is expected to rise above the Shia-Sunni complexity of the situation and political rivalry with President Assad. It is the common Muslims that are suffering and KSA turns a blind eye to the development!
In Yemen, KSA has an overt role to play for the sufferings of the common Yemenis. Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is facing criticism and protests even in London during his current UK visit because of the bombings and war crimes they perpetrate on the innocent folks of Yemen.
There is another case in point, where KSA should have raised the issue of Muslim sufferings. It is Uyghur of China who faces daily persecution and torture in the hands of Chinese authorities. In typical communist China does it with iron curtain and shrouded in secrecy. Thus, if Saudi authorities cannot address and support the causes where Muslims are suffering, it can be construed that their leadership role among Muslims is nothing but pseudo. KSA should lead the world to bring justice to the Muslims and mankind and bring curtains to Muslim suffering, which is expected of them but not happening till now!
