Rajshahi University students have been given the first and second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from Sunday.
The vaccination program started at 9 am on Sunday (October 17) at the Shaheed Sukhranjan Samaddar Teacher-Student Cultural Center(TSCC) of the university.
During the program, Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Golam Sabbir Sattar visited the temporary vaccination center at the TSCC building at 11 am.
He greeted the students with flowers.
At this time, among others, the Pro vice-Chancellor Professor Chowdhury. Zakaria, Pro vice-Chancellor Prof. Sultan-ul-Islam, Registrar Professor Abdus Salam, TSCC director Arif Haider, Acting Proctor Liaquat Ali, Student Advisor M Tareq Noor, Public Relations Department Administrator Md. Azizur Rahman, deputy chief physician of the University medical center Md. Abdul Wadud and others were present.
The Vice-Chancellor then inaugurated the 24-bed Covid-19 Isolation Room at the University Medical Center and toured the Covid-19 Sample Collection Room.
He expressed satisfaction over the overall preparation there.
On 17 October, on the first day, about 600 students received the vaccine.
Incidentally, students who do not have a National Identity Card and have already completed the initial registration process for the Covid-19 vaccine at UGC’s Univac Webling (https://univac.ugc.gov.bd) will be able to use the Covid-19 birth registration certificate in the security app from October 19 can complete vaccines registration.
To get vaccinated at the University TSCC Center, registration must be completed through the Safety App and a copy of the registration must be brought along.
