On the demise of the Former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, H.E. Le Kha Phieu, on last Friday, The Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam has arranged a state funeral ceremony that will take place from August 14th to 15th.
Top leaders of China, Laos, Cambodia and Cuba have extended their profound condolences to Vietnamese Party and State leaders, people and family of former General Secretary over his passing.
The funeral ceremony will be chaired by the present Party General Secretary and the State President Nguyen Phu Trong. In the National Funeral House in Hanoi, the mourners will pay their respect from 8am on August 14th till 15th noon, wherein the deceased leader will lie in state. The memorial service will be organized at 12.30 pm and Le Kha Phieu will be buried at Mai Dich cemetery in Hanoi.
For the ceremony, the National Flag will be hung half-mast at offices and public places and all entertainment activities will be halted.
During these two days of the state funeral, a Book of Condolences is opened at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in New Delhi from 9am to 5pm.
Apart from the Condolence Book, a precious arrangement has been made and that is the e-Condolence Book. The e-condolence book is the digitalized version of the Book of Condolence wherein people can write their condolences and thoughts online for the demised one, so that it remains as a sign of remembrance of the great leader.
