The Policy Times in collaboration with Shiv Nadar University, India which has been bestowed the title of ‘Institute of Eminence’ from the Indian government organized a webinar on “Capacity Building Workshop –Path For Success Through Technology” as part of the South Asia Education Council (SAEC) initiative to realize the vision of academic exchange and integration within South Asia on Friday, April 2 from 6.15 pm -8.15 (IST).

Professor Rajeev Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, Department Of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Shiv Nadar University, India laid out the possible scenarios of the 21st century and coming time and the role of technology in shaping opportunities and choices. The 21st century presents complex problems that demand wiser ways of thinking that recognize current limitations, ambiguity, uncertainty, and balances multiple perspectives, and bridges diverse areas of expertise. A deeper understanding of the role of technology from every stakeholder in the education sector and continuous up-skilling are the key elements to successfully navigate in rapidly changing times.
Dr. Subarna Shakya, Professor at Institute of Engineering and Director of IT Innovation Center, Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Visiting Professor, Brown University, RI, USA skill, knowledge, and Attitude are key elements to shape a successful personal and professional life. Skills, interests, personality, motivation are deciding factors in academic career choice and success in professional life along with early professional exposure, management, organizational, team working ability as only technical skill is not enough in present time.
Mr. Amlesh Sinha, Vice President-Engineering, Make My Trip and Goibibo emphasized taking a comprehensive account of individual strength, weakness, interests, inherent talents while choosing a career and set a goal, and break it into everyday activity. Any technical skills required to reach the goal should be absorbed as an inherent talent rather than mere tools to reach goals for desired success.
