On Saturday (19 June 2021) Mr. Li Jiming, Ambassador of China to Bangladesh, delivered a keynote speech at the webinar which is titled “China-Bangladesh Relations: Prognosis for the Future” and hosted by Cosmos Foundation.
Ambassador Li Jiming pointed out in the speech that the combined forces of changes and a pandemic both unseen in a century have brought the world into an age rife with challenges but full of hope as well.
Both China and Bangladesh have entered a new and crucial stage of revitalization and development.
The changes are taken place both at home and abroad entail a stronger and more ambitious version of the China-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership of Cooperation. Ambassador Li highlighted five fields where China and Bangladesh can strengthen the current partnership, namely deepening anti-pandemic cooperation, advancing the Belt and Road Initiative, fighting climate change, resolving hotspot issues, and upholding multilateralism.
Ambassador Li emphasized that the 100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China – CPC is coming soon. Committed to the great cause of the Chinese nation, the CPC is showing even stronger vigor and vitality. The CPC will always stay true to its original aspiration and mission, which is seeking happiness for the Chinese people, rejuvenation for the Chinese nation, and long-lasting peace and development for the world. The CPC, under the leadership of General-Secretary Xi Jinping, is ready to work with political parties and people from countries all over the world, including Bangladesh, to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
