During the global pandemic in the year 2020, the world has struggled to adapt to a new mode of working. 70% of the employees have planned to remain at their respective organizations while 41% of the employees have planned to leave their current employer.
Major Reason Behind the People Opting to Move
Remote jobs have nowadays opened up due to the result of the new way of working. Remote jobs allow the employees to be productive and to focus on the work fully. It would also offer interesting new career possibilities and the employees would have the flexibility to work. Even the remote job supports a variety of sustainability initiatives from economic growth to responsible consumption. A major survey concluded that people are opting to move because they can now work remotely. The Microsoft Work Trend Index outlines the findings from a study conducted in 31 countries with over 30,000 people. It is also estimated that during the pandemic, the postings of the remote jobs increased more than five times.

The New Challenges Thrown up by The Survey
The biggest challenge found by the study was that leaders were out of tune with their employees. 37% of the workers said that the company was asking too much of them. Although the companies were achieving higher productivity, the workforce was even more exhausted. A hybrid model is now the way forward as the leaders want in-person meetings with their team members.
