The publishing rights of ‘WHY DOES MAN RAPE’ by Jasbir Singh have been conferred upon Invincible Publishers, one of the leading publishing houses. The book is transcribed on basis of the interviews of rape offenders from all over India, and reveals the true face of our society, especially our so-thought righteous culture and different religions.
Jasbir Singh is a contemporary Indian author, social activist and a young entrepreneur, who currently stays in Canada. He decided to write the book when he heard about the notorious incident that happened in Muzzafarpur, Bihar where more than thirty-four girls were assaulted. He has spent almost two years on this book and had spent almost six to eight months in different prisons of India to interview rape offenders.
This book is his third title after the bestseller ‘I am also a Human’ which was based on the struggle-stories of transgenders. He has also been a recipient of various awards such as 100 Inspiring Authors of India Award by The Indian Awaz and National Pride Award by National Anti Harassment Foundation. The author propagates “If you want to stop the rape cases, then start it from your own home,” and this book intends to find out the root causes behind this heinous crime and also broaden the mindsets of the people. Ajay Setia, MD Invincible Publishers said “The book is based upon in-depth study of Indian culture and society, thus expounding its message strongly.”
