This year the mobile market has seen a lot of new launches reaching almost saturation point. Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo, Oppo is giving quite a neck to neck competition to competing rivals.
Xiaomi with its new phone seems to revive the old days. Previously, Oppo also launched this sliding feature in its new phone Find X but it came out as a bummer. Xiaomi has made the slide manual and it is controlled by neodymium magnets which can carry out the task 300,000 times without any issues.
The slider on the phone enables on-screen features and help in tasks like taking selfies, making calls, viewing calendar, etc. Sliding the screen down gives a tactical feedback and also makes a sound. A slider is not the only feature worth appreciating but it also has a stunning bezel-less screen and a camera that can out-perform most of the other phones in the market, even iPhone XR.
The software and hardware used in the phone is top of the line and Xiaomi has successfully built a premium phone and also maintained the legacy of its Mix line-up by giving something new to its users.
The phone is designed to look sleek and the ergonomics have been engineered very well. Holding the device in the hand gives a luxurious feel and the ceramic material used on the back panel is of top-notch quality. The ceramic back on the device looks more like a glass and gives a very premium appearance. With those graceful looks, the phone has a sturdy aluminium frame which will prevent the phone from damages.
The essence of Mi Mix 3 design is the colour scheme they have used in their model. The colours in which this device is available are Black, Green Emerald and Sapphire Blue. This Sapphire blue colour is not just a simple colour but according to Xiaomi Officials, the colour is inspired by the National Treasures of the Powers Museum.
Mi Mix 3 embodies an AMOLED screen which is the first time for the Mix series. This screen type has been adopted by the device for controlling the thickness and battery saving. The phone has an amazing screen to body ratio which is approx. 93.4% and the aspect ratio is 19.5:9. Mix 3 sports a 6.4inch king-size display for best viewing experience and to enhance this, the screen has a 2340×1080 resolution. The brightness of the screen is 600 units and 103.4% Colour Gamut and also a colour contrast ratio up to 6000:1.

Camera & Performance
The camera is a dual-camera setup and combines two 12-megapixels lenses at the back. The primary lens of the camera has an IMX363 sensor and aperture f/1.8. The secondary lens has a Samsung sensor and aperture f/2.4. The highlights and shadows in the pictures from the camera are better due to the stronger HDR intensity. With this assemble and by changing some algorithms Xiaomi has succeeded in making a new high in the field of camera performance. Their score was 108 points higher than the Samsung Note 9.
It records slow-motion at 960fps with 1080p resolution. The slider front camera also has dual camera setup with a 24-megapixel primary lens with the IMX576 sensor and 2-megapixel secondary lens for depth sensing and bokeh effect. It has this Mix series trademark of 4-in-1pixel binning features which gives a more crisp output. It also has a new Night mode feature for taking professional shots even in low lighting conditions.
The chipset used in Mix 3 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and Adreno 630 is used for graphics processing. The phone comes in three variants which are 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and the most talked about variant 10GB/256GB. The 10GB of RAM model is Forbidden City Special Edition also known as The Palace Museum edition. The model will be made available to the users very soon as per the news from the company.
Battery & Price
The battery capacity is of 3200mAh which will be sufficient for the device. The phone still costs less than half the price of iPhone XR base model. And around half the price of base models of Samsung, Sony or Blackberry.
Inside the Slider panel, there is a super earpiece whose volume can be increased by 27%. After giving all the latest features in the device, it doesn’t have an on-screen fingerprint sensor but has the traditional rear mounted sensor.
As per the device specification, it is quite promising but not much can be said about it because it has just arrived in the market. The device hasn’t been released everywhere till now but will be made available soon. And along with this superb device, the company is giving a wireless charger inside the box which is a first time thing by any company. Also, Xiaomi claims that the 10W charger is 30% faster than its predecessor.
